Steeped in Excellence: Introducing Our New Arteao Premium Teas

Hey there, Ruzo family!

If you’ve spent any time at Ruzo Coffee lately, you know we’re pretty obsessed with quality. Whether it’s dialing in the perfect shot of our Fuji Roast Espresso or making sure our Botan Cold Brew is hitting those crisp, refreshing notes, we don’t settle for "good enough." But we’ll be the first to admit that for a while, our tea selection was playing second fiddle to our beans.

That officially ends today.

We are beyond excited to announce that we’ve completely revamped our tea program. We’ve partnered with Arteao, a luxury tea importer that shares our "quality-first" DNA, to bring a level of tea excellence to North Boulder that you won’t find anywhere else. If you’re a tea lover, or even a coffee die-hard looking for a change of pace, this new list is for you.

Why Arteao?

When I started looking for a tea partner, I wanted more than just bags of dried leaves. I wanted a story, a process, and most importantly, a flavor profile that stands up to our house-roasted coffees.

Arteao is based on the idea of "Tea as Art," and one of the biggest reasons we were excited to work with them is their sourcing. They bring in Japanese teas directly from family farms, with a focus on quality, care, and transparency from origin to cup. That means the tea you drink at Ruzo has a real connection to the people growing it, not just a label on a box.

Being a coffee shop in Boulder, CO, means we serve a community that values wellness, authentic craft, and thoughtful sourcing. They don’t just buy tea; they curate it with intention, and we’re excited to share that with our North Boulder neighbors.

We wanted this new tea menu to feel thoughtful, approachable, and genuinely exciting whether you’re already deep into tea or just looking for something beyond your usual Boulder coffee shop order. Here’s the full lineup now pouring at Ruzo:

If you’re hanging out with us, we serve tea in 16oz glass teapots so you can slow down and enjoy the full experience. If you’re headed out the door, we’ve got you covered with organic corn fiber mesh teabags for an easy to-go option.

Your Neighborhood Gathering Place

At the end of the day, Ruzo Coffee is about more than just what’s in the cup. We’ve worked hard to make this the best neighborhood gathering place in North Boulder. Whether you’re stopping in to check out our latest art gallery installation or coming by for our community events, we want you to feel at home.

Adding these premium teas is just another way we’re trying to make your experience here special. We want the person drinking a cup of chamomile grown and imported from Japan to have a moment of excellence that matches the person drinking our Kiku Drip Coffee.
