Walk into Ruzo Coffee on Broadway and you’ll notice two things right away: the smell of freshly roasted beans and the art lining our walls. What started as a neighborhood coffee shop Boulder CO has grown into North Boulder’s most relaxed, come-as-you-are gallery.
We’re not a hush-hush museum. We’re a place where art lives alongside great coffee and easy conversation—discovering a new favorite piece is as simple as ordering your morning latte.
Meet Marlaina Faye: Our Current Featured Artist
Right now, we’re showcasing the work of Marlaina Faye. Her current series on our café wall is inspired by coffee shops—you’ll spot latte scenes and posh animal figures sipping their coffee. She blends rich color with a paper-collage style, adding a playful energy that makes the room feel brighter.
These pieces feel bold and welcoming; up close, you notice thoughtful details that invite you to slow down, take a sip, and really look.
Why Coffee Shops Make Perfect Galleries
Coffee shops give art time to breathe. Our guests settle in with a book, meet friends, or work on laptops—exactly the kind of unhurried attention that lets art spark ideas and conversations. No admission fee, no pressure—just good art, good coffee, and the freedom to enjoy both at your pace.

Community in Every Brushstroke
This works because our neighborhood shows up, dropping by, asking questions, and chatting with the artist between sips. Our community board sits right next to her work, a perfect mix of everyday life and creative expression. That’s the magic of a truly local, North Boulder coffee shop.
Supporting Local Artists, Building Local Culture
Featuring artists like Marlaina keeps support close to home. Sales go directly to the artist—no commission taken—while consistent, daily visibility helps build careers. More than anything, treating our walls as gallery space says creativity belongs in everyday places. It makes our community more connected and more curious.
What’s Next
Marlaina’s exhibition is currently on view. We rotate the art on our walls every three months to give different artists from our community a chance to showcase their work—keeping the café atmosphere fresh, inviting, and worth revisiting. We’re already planning future features—check back regularly for the next exhibition—and we’d love to hear from local artists. If your work fits the welcoming, thoughtful energy we’re building, let’s talk.
Come See What We Mean
Stop in, grab your favorite drink, and spend a minute with Marlaina Faye’s work. Notice how different pieces speak to you throughout the day—you might find a new favorite or even bring one home. It’s the best coffee shop in Boulder for any kind of meeting because you also get an approachable art gallery experience.
